How Long Does Physical Therapy Last?
The length of your physical therapy sessions is 50 min but can be longer depending on your individual needs and goals. Some people may only need a few sessions, while others may require months of therapy to achieve their desired outcomes. Much of this depends on where you are starting from, how much time/energy/resources you have at your disposal each day outside of therapy if prefer someone with you each step of the way versus experimenting more on your own, and how far you want to take your goal.
Choosing a Physical Therapist in Rochester, MN
When choosing a physical therapist in Rochester, MN, it is important to choose someone who has experience working with patients with similar conditions. You should also look for a physical therapist who is licensed and certified in their field. It is also important to know if you will be working with the physical therapist or passed off to a physical therapy aid or assistant. Most Physical therapists have a master's level in education or higher. Physical therapy assistants have a certificate and aids have no training outside of what the physical therapist has taught the aid. It is also important to find out how many patients the physical therapist is working with or supervising at one time. You will also want to find out if you will be seeing the same physical therapist each visit to keep the continuity of care.
At JenFitter Physical Therapy you will see the same therapist each time from start to finish of each session. No Aids or assistance is used. Jennifer has two doctorates, an entry-level doctorate and a terminal doctorate of Science in orthopedic and chronic pain physical therapy. She has received many certifications in different specialties including the hardest and highest certification, a fellowship with the academy of orthopedic manual physical therapy.
